Dolly Parton Postpones Las Vegas Concerts Amid Health Concerns

Country music legend Dolly Parton has announced that she is delaying her upcoming Las Vegas residency, citing ongoing health challenges and the need for medical procedures.

The six-night engagement, titled “Dolly: Live in Las Vegas”, was originally scheduled to take place in December 2025 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. It will now be rescheduled for September 2026.

In a statement shared with fans, Parton explained that her doctors had advised her to undergo “a few procedures” and that she would not be able to rehearse and prepare for the shows at the level of excellence she expects of herself. With her trademark humor, she described the situation as her “100,000-mile check-up,” clarifying that it was not cosmetic surgery but necessary medical care.

Despite the disappointment, Parton reassured her audience that this should not be seen as the end of her career. She emphasized that she has no plans to retire, noting that she will continue working from her Nashville base while recovering. The postponement, she said, was made out of respect for her fans and her desire to deliver the kind of performance they deserve.

The news comes only months after Parton canceled an appearance at her Dollywood theme park due to a kidney stone that caused an infection, underscoring the health challenges she has faced in recent years.

Ticket holders for the December 2025 shows will be able to use their existing tickets for the rescheduled dates in 2026 or request a refund through official channels.

The announcement has sparked an outpouring of well wishes from fans around the world, who have expressed both concern for her health and admiration for her dedication to her audience. At 79, Parton remains one of the most enduring and beloved figures in country music, celebrated not only for her decades of iconic hits but also for her resilience, humor, and generosity.

Although the delay is a disappointment for those who had been looking forward to her long-awaited return to the Las Vegas stage after more than three decades, the decision reflects Parton’s commitment to ensuring that her performances remain worthy of her legacy.
